Project Overview

The objective of this project was to support the electrical system engineering and integration of the new V/Locity trains, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, reliability in operation, and alignment with modern passenger expectations. 

Scope of Work :
◘ Project Management and Procurement:  
• Oversaw project timelines and deliverables to ensure efficient execution 

• Managed procurement and tendering for electrical components and systems 

• Conducted risk assessment and mitigation planning to ensure safety and compliance    

◘ Electrical/Electronic Engineering Support:  
• Standards identification to ensure compliance with industry and safety regulations

• Developed requirements matrices to track system specifications 

• Created and maintained engineering change documentation for all modifications  

• Implemented new electrical designs across multiple systems  

• Conducted corrections and modifications of electrical schematics and wiring  

 ◘ Installation and Testing:  
• Supported the first-time installation of new electrical systems on the trains  

• Performed onsite testing under both static and dynamic conditions to validate system performance  

• Developed technical work instructions, procedures, and routine test documentation to ensure accuracy and repeatability in system validation  

 ◘ Collaboration and Documentation:  
• Managed technical documentation across multiple platforms

• Engaged in technical discussions with multi-cultural teams, ensuring seamless coordination between project stakeholders

SCG played a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient integration of electrical systems into the new V/Locity trains. Our expertise in engineering change management, system validation, and compliance assurance allowed us to successfully support this project within the required timelines.
